Merchants need to download the Aadhaar payment (Aadhar card payment) app on their smartphones from google play store, connected to a bio metric reader, which is currently available in market for Rs 2,000. The customer will then feed his or her 12 digits Aadhar card number as well as thumb nail into the app, select the bank through which the transaction will take place, and the bio metric scan will work as a password for the transaction to be authenticated.
