EPFO to launch Provident Fund online Transfer or withdrawal from August
Recently EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organisation ) Commissioner K. K. Jalan announced as they are planning a soft launch of facility to apply online for transfer or withdrawal of the provident fund online from July 1, 2013 but latterly it was postponed from August 1, 2013.

EPFO expecting around 1.2 crore claims pending this fiscal year. They estimated around 5,40,000 claims were pending on June 11, 2013. The EPFO body called all zonal heads to settled the claims before July 5, 2013.
The facility also available online tracking and status of application of transfer or withdrawal of Provident Fund.
Earlier it was getting around 3 months process to withdrawal Provident Fund now it going to smooth and easy, at present employees have to get their applications form verified from their employers to settlement the Provident Fund Claim.
EPFO also having plans in next year provide a permanent account numbers to all subscribers to avoid filing for Provident Fund transfer claims in the event of changing jobs.
